This plant is not a true mint. It does very well in hanging baskets and containers because of its trailing habit. The leaves have a very strong scent of eucalyptus. Add a generous amount of the fresh leaves to hot water and inhale the vapour. This will help to unblock swollen sinuses or a blocked nose. The fresh leaves can also be added to salads and summer drinks. Plant in fertile, well-drained soil in full sun/part shade.
